Hostess Promotion

Stampin' Up! has an amazing hostess promotion going on right now unti the end of August.  If you host a workshop that has $450 or more in sales, you will get an additional $35 in free product.  That means that you can chose a level 1 or level 2 hostess set as well as $80 in free product of your choice!!  How awesome is that?  I still have some dates left in August so email me to let me know when you want to schedule your workshop.  If you don't want to have to clean your house, you can invite your friends and come to my stamp room for a fun time learning new stamping ideas.  I look forward to hearing from you.

More Home Office Pics

As I have mentioned, we went to visit Stampin' Up!'s home office while I was at convention.  I thought I would share some pictures with you of the idea and inspiration rooms.  You can click on the pictures to make them bigger.
This is the beautiful waterfall feature that is in the middle of the office.  There are tables around it where the staff enjoy their breaks and lunches.  How awesome to work in a place like this!
This is a picture of what was used on the front of one of the Stampin' Success magazines which demonstrators receive each month.  Everything is made with cardstock and Stampin' Up! embellishments.

This is a picture of Stampin' Up!'s very first catalogue 22 years ago and today's catalogue.  I'm so glad that I have today's catalogue!
Enjoy your weekend.

Saturday at Convention

Saturday was the last day at convention and it was really good.  Even though we were all exhausted, we got up excited for the day.  The first presenters were Shelli and her daughter Sara.  They did a fabulous interactive presentation and they were even wearing skirts made from our new fabric - yes, you heard me right, we are carrying fabric in the new Holiday Mini which begins September 1.  After this session we had classes and then another yummy lunch!  There were two more stamping demonstrations and then Shelli came out for her closing remarks.  She announced that there will be some major changes happening in the near future but nothing concrete was said.  I will keep you informed.  It was also announced that there will be a Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar happening on September 25 in Hamilton.  I have been to a regional before and it is fantastic!  If you are interested in joining my team, I can fill you in on how you can attend this regional.  Registration begins August 4 and it will sell out!  So at the end of Shelli's remarks, we were all surprised with free product and I don't mean just one thing!  We got a level 2 hostess set from the new mini, a Cherry Cobbler ink pad, new glitter and new dsp!!!  WOW is all I can say.

When you go to convention, you get a bag with your convention pen, pin, stamp sets for the make 'n takes, and convention book.

I also was the winner of a prize patrol prize on Friday morning.  When you get your convention bag, you get a wrist band with a colour and design on it.  After each stamping presentation, they will show one of the wrist bands on the screens and then you win a fab prize.  I got a new punch and stamp set that will be in the Holiday mini.

If this hasn't convinced you to sign up as a demonstrator, I don't know what will!!!  I am excited to share the opportunity with you.  Tonight I am meeting with the other girls on my team to share my adventure.  You can join us at our next meeting if you are interested.

Swap Cards for Convention

Here are 2 of the cards that I made and took as swap cards while I was at convention.  I made 20 of each.

This card uses Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo cardstock.  I used the new level 1 hostess set called Silhouette Sentiments.  The Daffodil Delight was put in the square lattice textured embossing folder before being attached to the card.  The ribbon is the Basic Black striped.

This card uses Sahara Sand, Pretty in pink, and Concord Crush cardstock.  The giraffe is from the set Animal Stories.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I used the 1" circle punch to punch out the circles at the bottom of the card.

Recouperating!

Well I think I am finally getting caught up on the sleep I missed while I was at convention!  It was a very full, fun packed few days.  I will have lots of photos to share with you over the next few days.
There is also a great promotion for you to take advantage of.  If you host a workshop between now and
August 31 and your workshop sales are $450 or more, you will get an extra $35 in free product.  I have some available dates left in August so contact me today.
This picture is of the huge tag that was part of the decoration on main stage.  As I have mentioned, the theme colours for this convention were awesome.

This is a picture of Stampin' Up!'s statement of the heart that could be found throughout the convention centre.

I participated in an organized 6"x6" punch page swap.  This is the creation I made.  I had to make 37 of these pages and that equals A LOT of punches!!

Last Day

Today is the last day of convention and I'm sure it will be a great one. We have general session first followed by classes, lunch and then closing session. I have had a great time so far but getting little sleep is starting to catch up with me!
Yesterday I was very excited to win a prize patrol prize! I won a new punch and stamp set from the new holiday mini which comes out September 1. This mini is filled with fabulous new products that you won't be able to resist!

Here are some display pictures to share with you.  So much colour!  I will have loads more to tell you when I get home.  There may not be a post tomorrow as I will be getting up at 4am MT time to head for the airport.  Have a great weekend.

Wowzers!!!

Yesterday was another very busy, exciting day and I have so much fun stuff to show you when I get home. One thing I will be doing is calling some of you to book a party because there is an awesome hostess promotion happening from July 27-August 30! If you would like to book a party, let me know and I can show you some of the great things I learned.

This picture was taken when I was at the home office.  They have these cool rocks outside by the road so I got my picture taken with it.

These boxes were so cute!  They were on display at the home office.

The colours of this convention are soooo beautiful.  I love this picture of the gathering place.  It is so bright and inspiring.
Well this morning I am off to have breakfast with Shelli.  Thanks to Michelle for joining my team in June and that is why I get this special perk!

Convention Update

So I have been here for a one day and it was packed!!  I am tired and still trying to get used to the time change but hopefully by the time I leave I will be good!  Here are some pictures of things that happened yesterday.  I am with a group of 10 other girls and we are having a great time.

This first picture is of the outside of Stampin' Up!'s home office.  It is an amazing building and I loved touring it and seeing where all our goodies get shipped!

As soon as you walk into the home office, there were these fun coloured banners hanging from the ceiling.  The girls I was with all stood behind one and had our picture taken.

This next pictures is of one of the idea rooms that is at the office.  There is amazing inspiration at this place and I was so happy that I got to go there.  I will have more pictures to show you of this place later.
This last picture is from the 70's flower party that was last night.  We all had tie-dyed shirts that Heather made for us and we wore jean bottoms.  There were games and prizes throughout the evening.

Convention Room Mate Gifts

Well I am in Salt Lake City for Stampin' Up!'s annual Convention. It was a long time getting here as my first flight was delayed due to a mechanical problem with the door. I was freaking out because I knew then I was going to miss my connecting flight and I figured I would be stuck in Denver. Anyways, it all worked out and I got here safe. I am headed off to breakfast and then the convention centre momentarily.

Here are two pictures of gifts I made for my room mates. The first is a little bottle of hand sanitizer decorated with the Greenhouse Gala dsp. The second picture is of some washer necklaces I made for them.

Leavin' on a Jet Plane for STAMPIN' UP! CONVENTION!!!!!

As you are reading this, I am probably on a plane.  Please send happy thoughts my way as I really don't like flying but will do it to go to Stampin' Up!'s convention where I will have lots of fun!  I have scheduled some posts for you but will also try to update you with pictures and happenings while I am there.

This card is one that I am using for one of my swap cards.  I must say that this is probably my all-time favourite card that I have ever made.  It uses Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  The stamp sets I used are Elements of Style, Butterfly Prints, and Cottage Garden.  I stamped the background swirl using Crumb Cake ink and the butterfly, the little flowers, and the greeting use Cherry Cobbler ink.  When it was all assembled, I sprayed it with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

Stay tuned for more pictures everyday.

Open House Card

I realized that I never showed you the card that we made at my open house.  This card uses Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, and Crumb Cake cardstock.  It also uses the new Greenhouse Gala designer series paper and Marian Mist taffeta ribbon.  I had a few left over so I made them into swap cards to take with me to convention.

Thanks to everyone who came to my open house.  I really appreciate you stopping by.  I still have lots of retired product for sale so if you would like to stop by sometime to see it, let me know.  I had posted on my facebook page who the door prize winners were and in case you wanted to know too, here they are: Liz C, Donna L, and Christine C.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for more swap pictures.  I need to get my packing finished!

New Colours

So amongst all my prepping for convention, I had a workshop yesterday.  I used new colours on all the cards and used as much new product as possible.

This first card I demonstrated for the ladies.  The cardstock colour is Pear Pizzazz (my new fav!) and the flower is made from Poppy Parade.  The designer series paper is so nice that I almost didn't want to use it.  It is called Sunny Garden and coordinates really well with the new stamp set Cottage Garden.  If you look closely on the top of the 'i' in the greeting, you will see a tiny rhinestone.  These new self-adhesive rhinestones are great and they are pretty cheap too!

This card was one of the two cards the ladies got to make.  The cardstock colours are Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White.  It features the new builder wheels which are super easy to use.  If you book a workshop, I can show you how to use them.  We also used the new 1/8" Taffeta ribbon in Marina Mist and added some glitter so some of the candles and stars.

The second card they got to make I am using as a swap card for convention so I will show it to you this week.  I will have lots to share with you this coming week while I am at Stampin' Up!'s annual convention in Salt Lake City, Utah!  Be sure to check back every day.  There may even be a contest for you to enter!

If you would like to book a workshop to learn how to use the builder wheels or see my cool new ideas from convention, send me an email to let me know.

Name Frames

As I have mentioned in previous posts, there have been a lot of babies born recently!  I saw these frames somewhere so decided I would give it a try.

This first frame was for my niece.  I used some retired designer paper from the Sweet Pea stack (I know I shouldn't use it now but it is soo nice).  I used the Big Shot to cut out the letters and the butterflies to add to it.

This frame was made for a friend who had a boy in May.  Again, the designer paper is retired but I thought it would be nice for a boy with all the animals.

I hope to see you tomorrow at my open house from 7-10pm.  If you can't make it tomorrow, it is also on Wednesday from 1-4pm.  Remember, if you place an order from the new catalogue, you can chose that much in retired products for FREE!
