Last Chance for Sale-a-Bration!

Sale-a-Bration is almost over and I wanted to share a couple of cards with you that use the free items you can get when you place a $60 order.
This first card is beautiful!  I am usually not a fan of orange but this Peach Parfait looks really nice with Poppy Parade.  Both of these colours will be retiring at the end of May.  The designer series paper on this card is from the Everyday Enchantment pack which is free during Sale-a-Bration.  This paper is so gorgeous and will certainly be missed!  The stamp set on the butterfly is called Fresh Vintage and is also free during SAB.

This card also uses the same items from Sale-a-Bration as above.  If you look closely on the dsp, you can see some organdy Lucky Limeade ribbon.  Another SAB item is a roll of Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral Organdy ribbon as well as 30 printed designer brads which you can see in the middle of the flower.

If you place a $60 order, you can chose one item from the SAB brochure for free.  If you would like to join my Dare to Stamp team, the starter kit is ONLY $150 right now.  If you join now, you also will get a free designer series paper pack or digital download free every month for the rest of the year.  I would love to have you on my team.  Hurry though, SAB is over on March 31.

Flower Garden Embossing Folder

When I saw the new embossing folder in the Summer mini, I knew for sure that I would be getting it.  This is another card we did at my May stamp club.

The colours for this card are Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo, and Concord Crush.  We used a piece of Whisper White cardstock to put through the embossing folder but we got the colour by rubbing the Concord Crush classic ink pad on the emossing folder and then we put it through the Big Shot.  It really makes the white flower stand out.
I have had a couple of more entries to my Retiring Stamp Set contest but I know that you will be sending me your guess soon!

It's Almost Here...

It is almost time to unveil the surprise but until then, I have a couple of cards to share with you.
This card uses lots of different things.  The cardstock colours are Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip.  The stamp set is Bliss which is only available until March 31 in Sale-a-Bration.  The flower is cut out with the Fun Flower die for the Big Shot which can be found in the Occasions Mini.  We then put the flower in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder through the Big Shot.  It is hard to see in the picture but this card is really elegant in real life.
This second card is so bright and cherry.  The cardstock is Daffodil Delight.  The flower is stamped with the Build a Blossom stamp set and punched out with the coordination punch which are in the Occasions Mini.  The dsp is Ice Cream Parlour which is available from the Sale-a-Bration brochure until March 31.  The greeting is from Punch Bunch which is also in the SAB brochure.
If you are on my email list, be sure to check your inboxes tonight.  If not, you can sign up for my newsletter or check back here tomorrow.  This is one surprise you don't want to miss out on!

Butterflies

I am really thinking spring today because the cards I am sharing use lots of butterflies!  I needed to create a few cards quickly today (how is it that a cardmaker has no cards on hand?!?!) so I came up with this idea.  It literally only took about 7 minutes or less per card so it was very easy to create a lot.

The cards all use the same materials just in different colours.  This one uses Poppy Parade cardstock and ribbon.  I punched the butterflies out from the designer series paper pack that is available as a level 1 hostess set.  I added 2 pearls to the middle butterfly and popped it up with dimensionals.

The cards in this picture use Concord Crush and Peach Parfait.  All the cards use Pear Pizzazz as the layer with the tulip frame embossing folder around it.

There are only 3 weeks left to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration.  Be sure to place your order or book your workshop soon!

Concord Crush Rose

Today is a good friends birthday and I am sharing with you the card I made for her.  I am so happy to have her in my life and I have Stampin' Up! to thank for that!!!
This card is so cool if I do say so myself!!!  The cardstock colours are Crumb Cake, Concord Crush, Old Olive and Whisper White.  I used the tulip frame embossing folder for the Big Shot on the Crumb Cake.
The flower is made from the Owl punch of all things.  I spritzed it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz to add the shine.  The ribbon is Concord Crush striped poly-stitch and the greeting is from the free Sale-a-Bration set, Punch Bunch.
If you want to learn how to make this flower, stay tuned for a new type of class, Bring on the Wow, that I will be offering beginning in April!!
My newsletter is going out this morning so be sure to check your inboxes.  There are some exciting classes being offered.  Have a great Tuesday!

Frosty

Here is a card that I made last year in November or December.  It was one of the cards made at my stamp club but I never showed it.
This card is so cute and makes me smile!  He is made using the Top Note die for the Big Shot (which is a FABULOUS tool!!!).  The Whisper White cardstock was scored in half and then put through the Big Shot.  When you use the Top Note die, you can put more than one sheet through at a time so we lined it up just a bit below the cutting line so that the two pieces stayed attached.  We then used the Top Note to cut a piece of Basic Black for the hat.  The face is made using punches.
If you are interested in learning new techniques, then why not consider joining my stamp club.  Email me for more info.
Remember that Sale-a-Bration is on and for every $60 order you place before shipping and taxes, you can choose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Bliss

Here is another card we made last week at our February club.  I LOVE this stamp set from Sale-a-Bration and this is one of my favourite cards that I have made.
The stamp set is called Bliss.  The cardstock colours are Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White.  The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and the word is coloured in with the Baja Breeze maker.  We used the colour spritzer on the Baja Breeze cardstock to add some 'splatter'.  There is a pearl in the middle of the image.  The Crumb Cake cardstock was put through the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  This card is kind of a different style because you open the part with bliss and then open the right  hand side.  I would love to hear what you think!

Lots of Blue

This is one of the cards that we made at our February club.  We never want to have to make these cards but I really like how tihs one turned out using lots of blue.
We used the tulips frame embossing folder with the Big Shot to make the grame.  The cardstock colours are Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, and Whisper White.  The stamp set is called Thanks for Caring and is in the Occasions Mini.  It is a very nice sympathy set and also has a butterfly and flower image that could be used for other occasions.  We also sponged ink on the edges and punched out the greeting with the large scallop circle.
I really like to read your comments so please be sure to leave one on this or any other post.
(If you receive my messages through email, you will need to go to my blog to leave a comment)

Sale-a-Bration is happening so be sure to place your order to get free product!

Colour!

So, I am supposed to be finishing the projects for my club on Thursday night and our upcoming Spring Stamp Camp but I got sidetracked.  I started out making the flower for a stamp camp project but then wanted to change the colours and kept looking at this flower.  It makes me want spring so badly because the colours are so vibrant and bright.  I decided I couldn't leave this beautiful flower sitting on my table so I had to make it into a card.  Here is what I came up with.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and I used the tulip frame embossing folder on it.  The flower is made from the Fun Flowers die found in the Occasions mini and the cardstock colours are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise.  The button is a Chocolate Chip button from the Big Designer Buttons Sweet Stitches also found in the Occasions mini.  I had some trouble adding the greeting and no, the card is not on its side.  I decided that the greeting could go opposite of the direction of the card.  What do you think?  Leave me a comment on here and then others can check out what you think.

Now, I guess I should get back to what I should be doing and hopefully my co-host, Alycia for the stamp camp, will forgive me for getting side-tracked!

Great Night

Last night I hosted my Dare to Stamp team meeting.  There were 8 of us total and we had fun, at least I hope the other 7 had fun!!!  I shared some business info with everyone first, showed a video of highlights from last years convention with the hopes that some will join me this year and then we stamped and snacked!
These are the litle treats I gave everyone.  I used Stampin' Up!'s smallest cello bag and then filled them with red treats.  I cut a Real Red top note from the Big Shot and scored it in half.  I punched out the leaf from the Bird punch and the Owl from the Owl punch.  I added googly eyes and punched a small heart from the awesome glimmer paper.
I will share our other projects later but in the meantime, here are stampers at work!!

If you want in on the fun, why not join my team and now is especially great because during Sale-a-Bration, you will receive 15% off the starter kit as well as a $60 product bonus!!

Build a Blossom

I made this card for my Mom's birthday this week.  It uses the Build a Blossom stamp set and punch from the Occasions mini.  It is so cool to use and makes really nice cards.
I also used the framed tulips embossing folder for the Big Shot (awesome!!) and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting.  The cardstock colours are Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White.  If you are interested in any of these products, you can place an order online or email me.  Remember that Sale-a-Bration is on so for every $60 order before shipping and taxes you place, you can chose a free product from the brochure.
I am really excited to be having my Dare to Stamp team meeting tonight.  I am sure we will have lots of fun!

Flower Brooch

This is a really cute make 'n take that we did at Leadership.  The vintage style is not really my thing but I must say that this creation is really nice and it will probably find a way onto my spring jacket (hopefully which will be soon) or on a bag.
We created this using the Springtime Vintage fabric and the Fun Flowers die for the Big Shot out of the Occasions mini.  There are lots of details that make this flower so exquisite.  We used a trinket key, Vanilla and Baja Breeze Seam binding, a bevelled window pane, and chantilly lace.  If you look closely, there is a paper daisy in there as well as scallop circles cut from the First Edition dsp in the Occasions mini.  The butterfly image behind the bevelled window pane is from the set Clearly for You.

It's so sparkly...

This is another card we made at club this month.  It is a Valentine's Day card and would be suitable for anyone.
The heart is punched out from the glimmer paper that can be found in the Occasions mini.  I actually received this paper for FREE when I was at Leadership as well as a package of glimmer brads and the Champagne Glass Glitter.  The cardstock colours are Whisper White and Real Red.  We used the scallop square punch for the Pink Pirouette Cardstock and the Real Red dsp.  The base of the card was put through the big shot using the Vintage Wallpaper folder (and I will have something cool to show you tomorrow that has the same pattern).  We added Real Red grosgrain ribbon and the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Punch Bunch

This card uses one of the Sale-a-Bration sets called Punch Bunch.  Every stamp in this set coordinates with one of the punches.  This is a club card for this month.
The cardstock colours are Pacific Point, So Saffron, and Whisper White.  I used Pear Pizzaz ribbon as the stem and leaves.  You can see that I also used the NEW and FABULOUS Tulips embossing folder on the So Saffron cardstock.  It makes such a great frame.  It can be found in the Occasions mini.
Remember that for every $60 order you place before shipping and taxes, you can choose a free Sale-a-Bration item.  It would also be a fantastic time to book a workshop or to join my Dare to Stamp team!

Treat Box

While at Leadership, my friend Heather, came running into our room and told us to close our eyes and she left a pillow gift for us.
This cute little box is made using the Petal Cone die found in the Occasions Mini.  She cut some off the bottom to make a little take-out box.  She used Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped it first with an image from the set Eat Chocolate.  She made the tag from the same stamp set and tied the Real-Red striped grosgrain ribbon around it.  It was filled with chocolate pretzels!!  A very cute way to give a little treat.  I don't have this die yet but it is on my wish list to get starting tomorrow when for every $60 order you can choose a free product from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Be sure to check back tomorrow to view the brochure online.

More Dasher

Here are the other 2 cards we made at the Dasher class this past week.

This card uses Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and  Very Vanilla cardstock.  The dsp is from the Jolly Holiday package.
This card uses Marina Mist and Whisper White cardstock.  We put the Whisper White background through the big shot and used the snowflake embossing folder.  The greeting is from Bright Christmas out of the Holiday mini.

Remember that Tuesday is the last day to take advantage of the Online Extravaganza and the Recruiting kit special.

Christmas Squirrel

This was another project we made last week at my monthly stamp night.  It uses lots of cool things and is not really traditional Christmas colours.
The background cardstock is Garden Green and then we put the Whisper White through the Big Shot with the snowflake embossing folder.  We used a strip of the Candy Cane dsp on the bottom and if you look closely, you will see that the Real Red strip has glitter on it.  The squirrel and greeting are from the set Merry Crittermas.  We used some Blushing Bride stitched poly ribbon to finish it off.
Please remember that my Customer Appreciation night is Tuesday  November 16 from 7-10pm.  I really hope to see you there!

Stamp Night Projects

Last night I held my monthly stamp night and we had a great time making 3 projects.  I have 2 to share with today and the other one tomorrow.
When I first saw this technique, I loved it so decided my 'girls' should know how to do it.  It is called de-bossing.  We punched out the flowers and adhered them to the Whisper White cardstock.  We then put all of this through the Big Shot using the square lattice embossing folder.  It makes it look like one sheet of cardstock instead of the flowers attached to the paper.  We added some super yummy Pear Pizzazz ribbon to finish it off.  Most girls added a greeting in the bottom corner and I would suggest that you stamp that on before you put in through the Big Shot.  The cardstock colours are Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, and Daffodil Delight for the center of the flowers.

This second card uses the stamp set Just Believe (I am not sure why the picture is so blurry on here).  This card is very elegant but was very quick to make.  The colour we used is Concord Crush which is a very deep purple.  We added some dsp to the side and used the new ribbon border punch to add a bit more detail beside the dsp.  The main flower image is layered on top of a piece of vellum and there are 2 pearls on the flowers as well as on the greeting tag which was punched out using the modern label punch.
If you are interested in joining us at our monthly stamp night, you are welcome to come but you must make a $25 purchase.  If you want to make it a monthly committment, then you are eligible to receive hostess benefits as well!
If you are in the Hanover area tomorrow, I will be at the Home Party Show Shopping Extravaganza taking place from 10am-3pm at the Legion.  I will have lots of retired things for sale!

Cute Halloween Projects

Last night I had my first ever Kids Halloween Class.  The kids really liked making the projects and the class went well so I will be planning some more kids classes in the future!
We made 2 treat boxes, a card, and 4 little critters.
These were the two treats boxes.  The pumpkin is made using the milk carton die and the witch is made using the fancy favour treat box as the base and then the top note die as the witch face.  All the face pieces are punched out using a variety of Stampin' Up! punches.
These four critters were made with Stampin' Up! punches and then mounted on round chocolates that I found at the dollar store.  These were very quick and easy to make and th googly eyes make them soo cute!

If there are other kids or adults interested in taking this class, I will offer it again before Halloween.  Send me and email to let me know.
