More Dasher

Here are the other 2 cards we made at the Dasher class this past week.

This card uses Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and  Very Vanilla cardstock.  The dsp is from the Jolly Holiday package.
This card uses Marina Mist and Whisper White cardstock.  We put the Whisper White background through the big shot and used the snowflake embossing folder.  The greeting is from Bright Christmas out of the Holiday mini.

Remember that Tuesday is the last day to take advantage of the Online Extravaganza and the Recruiting kit special.

Dasher

Tonight is my Dasher class where each person will make 4 cards with their own Dasher stamp.  Here is another one of the cards we will be making.  I really like how this card turned out.
The cardstock used is Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  Dasher is the greeting are stamped in Chocolate Chip.  The greeting is from the set Bright Christmas from the Holiday mini.  I used the Deck the Halls fabric across the middle and it is tied with a small piece of linen thread.  Dasher also has some glitter under his feet and on his antlers.

Have you checked out the Online Spectacular sale yet?  If not, check out the post below this one.  You don't want to miss out on these sales!

Simple but Elegant

This was the card that was the make 'n take at my open house this past week.  It is very simple to create but is quite elegant.  It would be a great layout to use if you have LOTS of Christmas cards to make this year.  You could easily change the paper or the stamp and have the same effect.
The main cardstock colour is Very Vanilla.  The dsp down the side is from the Deck the Halls pack and we used a level 2 hostess set called Peaceful Season for the main image.  The greeting is from Bright Christmas.  Hope you like it.
Today I am in Kincardine at the 3rd Annual Home Party Show Shopping Extravaganza.  Stop by the Davidson Centre between 10am-3pm and check it out.

Gift Card Holder

This is the final project we did last week at my monthly stamp night.  It is a very useful item especially with Christmas coming.

It is a very cute gift card holder.  We used the Jolly Holiday dsp from the main catalogue as well as Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  The image on the front is from the Tags Til Christmas set in the Holiday Mini.

Today is the day to order the awesome starter kit deal.  Even if you have no interest in becoming a demonstrator, the kit is still an awesome deal and you can order it and then do nothing more.  Click here to read a flyer that shows how great of a deal it really is!!!

Christmas Squirrel

This was another project we made last week at my monthly stamp night.  It uses lots of cool things and is not really traditional Christmas colours.
The background cardstock is Garden Green and then we put the Whisper White through the Big Shot with the snowflake embossing folder.  We used a strip of the Candy Cane dsp on the bottom and if you look closely, you will see that the Real Red strip has glitter on it.  The squirrel and greeting are from the set Merry Crittermas.  We used some Blushing Bride stitched poly ribbon to finish it off.
Please remember that my Customer Appreciation night is Tuesday  November 16 from 7-10pm.  I really hope to see you there!

Who Would've Thought...

...that you could make a nice Christmas card from a leaf!!!  This was one of the cards we made at my monthly stamp night last night.  It is very simple but the idea is really cool and shows a way to use a stamp set in a different way.  We used the set French Foliage which is in the Holiday Mini and is meant more for Fall and Thanksgiving cards.  By using the small leaf, we created a Christmas wreath just by stamping it in a circle and adding the 'splat' stamp as the berries.
The cardstock colours are Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, and Very Vanilla.  Ink is Pear Pizzazz and Real Red.  The ribbon is Real Red grosgrain  and the greeting is from the set Four the Holidays.

Didn't Make the Cut

*Please be sure to take a minute to remember all those who have fought and are still fighting for us today.*

So I was creating the projects for my monthly stamp night and I set out to create a card using one of the new Letterpress Dies called Joyful Season.  I also wanted to incorporate Stampin' Up!s great fabric and when I got finished, the card just wasn't good enough for my girls to create.  I am not that happy with this card but maybe you have some suggestions for me?!?!?!
The cardstock is Real Red and Whisper White.  The fabric is called Candy Cane and I even put a glitter brad in the center...everything I wanted to use but it just seems boring to me.  I really wanted to showcase all 3 items but I guess it is back to the drawing board, or rather creating board for me!

All Fixed!

So, our computer issue is finally fixed.  It has been a long month dealing with all of that.  In the long run, I ended up having to get a new laptop as mine had so much wrong with it.  We were able to get our other computers fixed up though so that is good.  I have something to show you today but I am still learning this new computer!
Also wanted to remind you that I still have 3 spots left in my Christmas Stamp Camp.
This was a swap card I received at the Hamilton Regional.  I will be posting lots of Christmas samples in the coming weeks.  This card uses the awesome snowflake embossing folder.

Uh-oh!

Haven't been on lately because our computers have been taken over by some crazy virus thing that we can't get rid off :( One computer is at the doctors and the other one is very slow and selective in what it lets me do. We are doing our best to get back up and running.  I can't show you any pictures today, sorry, but on another note, I still have 3 spots left in the Christmas Stamp Camp on November 6.  If you scroll down to previous posts, you will see the info there.  Would love to have you join us for lots of stamping fun, food, and prizes!!!!

Cute Christmas

When I attended Stampin' Up!'s Regional event in September, I was very fortunate to receive a swap card from Carrie Cudney who is an employee of Stampin' Up!  She does stamping presentations and has a very calm, caring manner.  This is the cute card she gave me.
It uses the stamp set A Cute Christmas and the matching dsp, Candy Cane Christmas.  I really like how she did the little paper ruffle at the bottom.

This is sooo cool!!

Edited:  So I had this post scheduled to post Saturday morning but apparently my computer was playing tricks!

I said I would show you the third project we did at my monthly stamp night.  It is so cool and I was very happy that I could make it!  Let me know what you think!
So you are probably wondering what is so cool about this.  It just looks like a square piece of dsp with a button and ribbon, but....

when you unfold it, you get this neat star that can be used on your Christmas tree.  I am going to try to provide some detailed instructions and pictures in the next couple of days.  Maybe I will even be able to figure out how to do a video and post that!!!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Today I am in Hanover at The Home Party Show Shopping Extravaganza.  I hope to see some of you there.

Shoebox Swap

Today I am headed to Hamilton to attend Stampin' Up!'s regional event on Saturday.  I am super excited to go and can't wait to see fun, new ideas.
Tonight, I am attending a Pre-Regional event hosted by Heather Summers.  It is sure to be loads of fun as well and I will share pictures of both events when I get back.
I am participating in a shoebox swap and this is the card I made for it.
This card uses the new dsp from the Holiday Mini.  I used the ribbon border punch for the middle Cherry Cobbler piece and the tree is from Paisley Prints.  I hope you like it.
