Shadow Stamping

This is the second card we made at my stamp club this past Thursday. It uses a technique called shadow stamping. It is hard to see in the picture but we used the Big Shot and the Texturz plates to add a nice texture to the Sahara Sand cardstock. We used the beautiful eyelet border punch to create a nice border on one side. The image and greeting is from the hostess set Of The Earth. I am very happy with this card because it is very elegant.
Enjoy your weekend.

SIP #2

Here is another card I created for the Stamps, Ink, Paper challenge that Shelli Gardner, the CEO and founder of Stampin' Up! has on her blog SoShelli. The challenge is open to anyone so why not head over and take a look (after you finish reading this of course!)

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is getting to pre-order new products from the Holiday Mini catalogue which you should be receiving soon. This card uses the new stamp set Delightful Decorations. There is also a coordinating punch which I have but couldn't use for this card because I was only supposed to use Stamps, Ink, and Paper! I used Real Red and Whisper White cardstock and Brilliant Blue, Glorious Green, and Real Red ink. I cut really thin pieces of the Brushed Silver cardstock to use to 'hang' the ornaments. The greeting is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. For being a very simple card, it has a lot of "wowness"!

Club Projects

Last Thursday was my stamp club night. We made 2 cards and a 3-d item.

This card uses the level 1 hostess set Of the Earth. We used a technique known as bleaching. This really has a wow factor and I think this card turned out really well.

Each of the ladies also got to make a name tag. For mine, I used the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper to cover the scallop circle. We used the Big Shot to cut out the circle and the letters for our name. We attached a large brad through the top and a key ring and added some ribbon. I will show you the other card we made later this week.

If you would like to learn some great stamping techniques while building up your supply of Stampin' Up! products, then my stamp club is for you. I am starting another group in September, so if you are interested, send me an email for more information.

Have a great day.

SIP

Shelli Gardner, Owner and CEO of Stampin' Up! has a blog where she has a monthly contest. This month she challenged entrants to create a card using only Stamps, Ink, and Paper. After looking through my stamps and paper, I decided that I could create something to enter into this contest. It was difficult to not use my punches or ribbon but I improvised and this is what I came up with.
The cardstock I used is Soft Suede for the card base, Dusty Durango and Whisper White for the layers. I used the leaf image from the stamp set Best Wishes & More and inked it with Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and Handsome Hunter ink. Some the images I inked off before stamping them to create more of a varied look with the leaves. I created my "ribbon" by taking a thin strip of Crushed Curry cardstock and scrunching it up. I then peeled it apart at stuck one piece to the card and used the other piece to tie around. I used the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting and stamped it on a small piece of Whisper White cardstock. Overall, I am pleased with this card but it was difficult! Why don't you grab your supplies and try to make a SIP card!

New Punches

This card was sooo quick and easy to create and I think it is beautiful. I was waiting last night for Scott to start grouting the floor so I could carry water buckets to him and decided to start a card. I took my Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and punched out a whole bunch of pieces using the word window punch. I glued these on the front and then used the eyelet border punch (which I must say is BEAUTIFUL) and punched the bottom of the Whisper White cs and added a thin strip of Rich Razzleberry cs behind. I then used the *new* butterfly punch to punch out a butterfly from the same dsp. I added the greeting from the Warm Words stamp set inked in Rich Razzleberry and voila, card is finished!
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Enjoy your day.

Finally....

I have something to show you. For those that came to my open house, you will remember that my stamp room had white walls and not much down there. Now, thanks to my husband, the walls are painted, some cupboards are installed, and things are being moved in. But it isn't quite ready for creating yet so last night I was on the floor making these.

One of Scott's co-workers had a baby recently so this is the card I made for them. It is hard to see in the picture but I stamped 'hello baby' from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes in the corner of the whisper white cardstock. The stroller is made using punches. The ribbon and dsp is retired but I thought it added a nice touch to the card.

I also made this using the Big Shot and the scallop circle die. I covered a piece of chipboard with dsp and then cut it out. I used the Go G0 Boots letters and the Big Shot to cut out the name and then glued it on. I put a jumbo brad through the top and attached the key ring with some ribbon tied around it. This tag could go on the baby's diaper bag.
If you would like to learn how to make these great projects, why not consider joining my stamp club?
