Merry and Bright

I can't take credit for this super great Christmas card. I saw my sister Allyssa yesterday and she showed me this card that she made to use for her Christmas cards this year. She put a lot of work into them and I think it is super cute. Although not everything is from Stampin' Up!, most is. She used the Merry and Bright stamp set (which is retiring and is on sale for $16.16 until Dec.23). She coloured in the images using markers and added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter underneath the snowman and the tree. This card has an acetate sheet over top of the red card stock. She stamped the white snowflakes on the acetate sheet using the white staz-on ink which is permanent and will not rub off. She used silver eyelets at the top of the card to hold it all together. The ribbon she used is not from SU but you could use any ribbon. Thanks for letting me post your card Allyssa! If anyone else has a Christmas card they have made, send it to me in an email and you may see your creation on here. Have a good week.

November is done

Well, November is finished and I completed the challenge for National Blog Posting Month. I will now have to wait and see if perhaps I have won the gift certificate. You won't be hearing from me everyday but I will continue to post as often as I can. I must say though that I did have fun coming up with things to post everyday. I plan on getting my Christmas cards done this week so I will post a pic when they are completed.
Also wanted to let you know that I have 1 spot left for my Gift class this weekend on Sunday December 7 at 1pm. Cost is $35 and you will decorate a glass block, make a desktop calendar, and a card. To see more details, click here.

All Spruced Up

This card was one I created for my Christmas card stamp-a-stack last year. It uses the really cute Fun and Fast Notes stamp set. This set features a stamp and greeting for almost any occasion you would want to make a card for. I used Certainly Celery, Rose Red, and Very Vanilla cardstock. The image is stamped using Basic Gray ink and then coloured in using the Stampin' Write markers. Certainly Celery designer paper is used behind the image and gold brads are attached to the middle of the half circles. This card can take a little while to create because there are so many layers to it. Enjoy your week as the count down to Christmas begins!

Ornament

This cute star ornament is really easy to make. It was created by the Stampin' Up! artists and they used the On Board Essentials chipboard pack for the star base. They covered the star with Riding Hood Red cardstock and then stamped the Polka Dot background stamp on to it. They used Riding Hood Red Grosgrain Ribbon and Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon. The greeting in the middle is from the stamp set Home for Christmas. They then put the greeting into a piece from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. This hodgepodge piece is attached using the Rich Regal Brads.

Money/Giftcard Holder

Here is a really simple and cute money or giftcard holder for this holiday season. I used the Big On Christmas stamp set to create the image on the front. I stamped it in Basic Black ink and used the Stampin' Write markers to colour it in. As you can also see, I used GLITTER!! Christmas cards would not be complete without glitter. I randomly stamped snowflake images all over the card base using Bashful Blue ink. The whole card is tied together using Organday ribbon which is retired (gasp).

When you open up the holder, this is what you find inside. There is a litte pocket at the right side just big enough to hold some money or a gift card. The ribbon holds the pocket closed so your gift is safe inside. If you want a closer look, just click on the pictures to make them larger.

PS: Don't forget about the Holiday Extravaganza Sale happening until December 1 while supplies last. The All In The Family bundle is already sold out!

More Christmas Cards

This card was created by Lesley Poper. She used Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock. The stamps used were from Many Merry Messages and Winter Post. She made a little window over the snowflake with an acetate sheet. Inside this window is chunky glitter which adds a nice effect because you can shake the glitter around.

This second card was created by Catherine Sanders. She used Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, and Whisper White cardstock. As an added accent, the Frosty Days designer paper is added to the bottom. Of course this card uses glitter on the snowflakes. She used the Snow and Bold Snowflakes jumbo wheels. I don't use wheels too often but perhaps I should offer a "Wheelin' Around" class in the new year so you can try them out with me.

Don't forget about the Holiday Extravaganza Sale happening now until December 1 while supplies last.

Merry Christmas Cards

This card was created by Jen Bell. She came all the way from Pennsylvania to attend Stampfest in Cambridge. She used the stamp set Heard from the Heart for the greeting at the bottom. The cardstock used is Real Red and Very Vanilla. The ribbon is 1 1/4" Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Grosgrain ribbon from the Holiday mini. The Merry Christmas stamp is from the Curly Label Punch Bundle which includes 4 stamp sets and the Curly Label Punch. This greeting is attached to the ribbon using the Clips Assortment package.

This second card was created by Julie Leblanc from Guelph. She used the Season of Joy stamp set for the snowflake and the words at the bottom. The greeting on the Old Olive cardstock is from the hostess set called Best Yet. The cardstock used is Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, and Real Red. The square piece is created by using the scallop edge punch. This is a cute and easy card to create.

I am pleased to introduce my Stampin’ Up!© Referral program. It is very easy and beneficial for you. If someone you refer to me places a $25.00 order, you will receive a $5.00 gift certificate for Stampin’ Up! products from me. If they book a workshop, you will receive a $10.00 gift certificate and if they sign up to be a new demonstrator, you will receive a $25.00 gift certificate! This is a great beneficial program for you. Make sure you tell me who have referred. As well, if you bring a 'new' person to a class, you get to pick a free stamp from my basket.

I would also like to remind you about the Rub-on promotion. When you spend $20 on any Stampin' Up! product you can purchase any rub-on for 20% off. The glass balls to the left have rub-ons applied to them to create a unique Christmas ornament.

Christmas Ornament

Here is another creation made by the Stampin' Up! artists. This is a cute little ornament to use on your tree. The stamp set used is the Punches Three hostess set. It is punched out using the new scallop square punch.
I would like to remind you about my upcoming Christmas classes. If you would like to sign up, please let me know as soon as possible. If you bring a friend to the class you can pick a free stamp from my basket.

More Christmas Cards

This is another swap card I received. This card uses A Cardinal Christmas stamp set from the Holiday mini. I think that this card looks very professional and yes, it uses Dazzling Diamonds glitter! It also uses The Big Shot to cut out the white piece. The ribbon is 1 1/4" Ridinghood red/Very Vanilla. This card was made by Heather Owens.

This second card was created by Lisa Graves. It uses the Season of Joy stamp set which is new this year. This card would be very simple to mass produce to use as your Christmas cards but it quite stunning.

And the winner of the magnet contest is TRUDY! Congrats. I will get you your CD Calendar magnet soon.
Have a good weekend with all this snow everyone!

Christmas Cards

This was one of the swap cards I received last weekend at Stampfest. This is one of my favourites! It is a tri-fold card that is a bit smaller sized than a normal card. It uses the Deer image from the Deer Friends hostess set. It incorporates designer paper and lots and lots of punches. I still haven't decided on what Christmas cards I am going to make to send this year so maybe this is it!
This card was made by Sonia Jung.

This second card is another favourite because it uses Dazzling Diamonds glitter!!! It seems that any card that uses glitter is a favourite. This card also uses an image from the Deer Friends hostess set. The Deer Friends set has turned out to be a very popular set this year. The snowflakes on this card are from the Snow Swirled set which is also very popular. This card was created by Carol Ann Vandenbrink.
Remember to enter my give-away. Instructions for how to enter are on the Monday post and remember the deadline is Friday. As well, check out my 2 new classes being offered before Christmas on the Tuesday post. Deadline to sign up is this coming Tuesday or earlier if you want.

Christmas Chocolates

Here is another project from the Stampin' Up! design team. These are chocolates wrapped with designer paper from the I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit. This package also uses Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, Old Olive, Real Red, and Whisper White cardstock, and the new scallop square punch. The stamp set used on the tag is called Spotlight on Christmas. If you click on the stamp set link, you will find 2 more projects using this stamp set as well as the price and all the images included in this stamp set.
Don't forget to enter my give-away. For details, read Monday's post.

Magnets, Magnets, Magnets

I promised to have some pictures of the magnets I received in the swap I was in over the weekend so here they are. These are some really great ideas. Perhaps I will have to have a magnet class in the near future!

This magnet was made by Carol Ann. She used a jumbo paper clip and the Deer Friends stamp set.

This Notes magnet was created by Glenda Travelstead. Glenda is from the US and she was one of the guest speakers. She used designer paper to create this cute note holder.

This magnet was created by Pat Duggan. She did everyone's initial out of chipboard and covered it with designer paper. She then attached a flat marble to it. This is my favourite magnet that I received!

This magnet was created by Donna Henley. She used a small tile and then adhered the Chunky glitter to the sides to create a sparkly holiday magnet.

This last magnet was created by Erika Toet. She used a clip which looks a lot like a clothespin however the magnet was already attached to the back. I will have to find out where she got them.

And now for the fun part. In recognition of my 5oth post on here, I am going to give away a prize. Leave a comment on my blog telling me which magnet is your favourite. Just click on 'comment' at the end of this message (you need to be on my blog page to do that). On Friday I will choose a winner and they will receive one of my CD Calendar magnets that I created for this swap.
