Finally...

Okay, so my laptop still is sick but I took some pictures of our make 'n takes we did at Regionals so I can share those with you.  Please hope that I can get the virus off my laptop and that I won't lose anything from it like family pictures, card pictures and other information!

This card is a 4"x4" card and it used Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Whisper White cardstock.  The stamp set is Gratitude and this is the set we received at Regionals.  I like how we added a half-back pearl to the centre.
This second cards uses the same stamp set but this time uses Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock.  We used 5/8" grosgrain ribbon tied around the card and I added some more pearls to it.  You can click on the card to see it larger.
I will be back tomorrow with a great promotion and the winner of the reusable shopping bags.

Fun at the Hamilton Regional

Yesterday I had lots of fun at Stampin' Up!'s Hamilton Regional.  We saw lots of demonstrations, heard some great advice, and got to stamp!  What more could you want to do with a Saturday?
I just have a couple of pictures to share today but I will have more to share everyday this week.
First of all, I was so excited and happy to be able to get my picture taken with Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-founder of Stampin' Up!  She is such a beautiful person and is so kind and generous.
I was also very happy to have Alycia be able to join me for her first big Stampin' Up! event.  We had a great time together.
Lastly, this is a card from the samples boards at the Regional.  All attendants received the Gratitude stamp set from the Holiday Mini.  I will have lots more cards to share that use this set.

Shoebox Swap

Today I am headed to Hamilton to attend Stampin' Up!'s regional event on Saturday.  I am super excited to go and can't wait to see fun, new ideas.
Tonight, I am attending a Pre-Regional event hosted by Heather Summers.  It is sure to be loads of fun as well and I will share pictures of both events when I get back.
I am participating in a shoebox swap and this is the card I made for it.
This card uses the new dsp from the Holiday Mini.  I used the ribbon border punch for the middle Cherry Cobbler piece and the tree is from Paisley Prints.  I hope you like it.

Cute Halloween Treat

Things have been crazy around here.  I am going to Stampin' Up!'s Regional event this Saturday in Hamilton and I am attending a fun event on Friday night.  I have to prepare some swap cards and a card for a shoebox swap.  I have also been putting the finishing touches on the flyer for my upcoming stamp camp which will be sent out tomorrow but I found something to share with you tonight.

These treat boxes are made from the Candy wrapper die in the Holiday Mini.  I don't have this die yet but maybe soon!  These were made by the Stampin' Up! artists.  I hope you like them.

Just For You!

This card would be great to send to someone this fall.  It uses the Paisley Prints stamp set and the colours are perfect for fall.
For the pumpkin, I coloured right on the stamp with Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and More Mustard markers.  I stamped the pumpkin, then cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals.  I used the Paisley Prints wheel to add the pattern underneath the ribbon which is Pumpkin Pie grosgrain.  I learned how to make this cool ruffle with the ribbon at Convention.  I added a small flower Pumpkin Pie button to the ribbon to finish off the card.
Be sure to check back early this week.  I will have all the information about my upcoming all day Christmas stamp event that you won't want to miss!

Cardinal Christmas

I know it may seem early to be thinking about Christmas, but there are only 100 days until Christmas!  Can you believe it?  Now is the time to start making your Christmas cards to save on money and time.
This is one of the swap cards I received at convention and it was made by Angie Bennett.  The cardstock colours are River Rock, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichocke, and Very Vanilla.  She used River Rock, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso ink.  The stamp set is A Cardinal Christmas.  The Cherry Cobbler piece is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and the Big Shot.
If you would like to get a start on your Christmas cards, why not take one of my card classes?

Fundraiser Event - Please Join Me

World Card Making Day is coming up on Saturday October 2nd.  I am hosting a fundraiser event this day and $5 from each fee will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  My Aunt is currently fighting breast cancer and I know that it affects many of us so I would like to do something to honour all of these people.
When you come, you will make a mini card holder with 3 - 3"x3" cards and envelopes.  After you use the little note cards, you can then use the holder for money or a gift card.  I will also give you full instructions so you can make the project again.  I will have a special offer to purchase all the products we used to create the project.  I really hope that you will be able to join me on this day and let your friends know about it.  It is a very simple project so new and seasoned stampers are welcome as are children.
The cost is $10 and the event is on Saturday October 2nd from 1pm-4pm.  You can come anytime in this time frame.  The project should only take about 20 minutes to complete.  Please spread the word to your friends and if you know you would like to come, let me know.

Sparkly Snowflakes

I am back.  I was able to create this card to show you and when I am done posting, I will be back to figuring out what I am teaching tomorrow!
The cardstock colours are Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White.  This card was very simple to make but is stunning.  I used the new snowflake embossing folder in the Bigshot to create my background.  I then used a sponge dauber with Whisper White craft ink and 'pounced' on the snowflakes to make them stand out.  I then sprayed the card with the Vanilla Smooch Spritz to add some sparkle and then added the rhinestones to the centre of each snowflake.  I stamped the greeting from Bright Christmas using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched it out with the fabulous new Decorative Label punch in the Holiday Mini.  I then punched out the Decorative Label punch again using Cherry Cobbler and cut it in half to border the Whisper White.  I added some white ribbon to finish off my card.  I hope that you like it!
Girls Night Out is Wednesday night starting at 7:30.  Send me an email if you are coming.

Post Later

I will hopefully be back later tonight with a fun creation.  I am working all this week and was busy preparing things last night so did not have time to make something to share with you.

Turkey Treats

This was the third project we made at our stamp club last week.  It is so cute and I am really happy with how it turned out.  These would be great as table favours for Thanksgiving.
The cardstock colours are RidingHood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede.  Everything is punched out and attached to the treat cups to create this adorable turkey.  The treat cups are a great deal at 12 cups for $3.95.  Remember, that for every $25 order you place in September will get you entered into my draw for one of the reusable shopping bags that I got at convention.  Click here to see the pictures.

Fall Thank You

This is another project that we did at our stamp club last week.  I really love the colours in this card and it would be great with any sentiment on it.
The cardstock colours are Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Crumb Cake.  I used the stamp set French Foliage which is in the Holiday Mini.  The ink colours are Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, and More Mustard.  The greeting is from the set Thank You Kindly and is punched out with the large oval.  We wrapped natural linen thread around the card to finish it off.
Just a reminder that Girls Night Out is this Wednesday from 7:30-10pm.  Let me know if you want to attend.

First Club Project

I am sooo happy that my stamp club has started again.  I really love getting together with these ladies to teach them new things and share my love of stamping.  I hope you enjoy coming Pat, Wendy, Christine, Liz, Sally, Judy, Tracey, and our newest member Donna!
We made 3 projects at our September night and I will share all three with you in the coming days.  This first card uses the Fang-tastic stamp set.  It is so cute and not at all scary.
The cardstock colours are Basic Gray and Concord Crush.  We used the spider web embossing folder on the Concord Crush.  The witch is stamped using the black Stazon ink and then coloured in with various Stampin' Write markers.  I really love the wide striped grosgrain ribbon we used to finish this card.  If you would like more info about joining a stamp club, let me know!
Have a great weekend!

Happy Fall

This is a great fall card with the earthy colours that I used.  It uses the stamp set Paisley Prints which is really growing on me!
The main cardstock colour is Cajun Craze which I don't really like but imagine that for this card I used my last sheet!  I guess I like it more than I think :o)  The other cardstock colours are Old Olive, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla.  The ink colours are More Mustard, RidingHood Red, Early Espresso, and Old Olive.  I added some Old Olive 5/8" grograin ribbon and made a little ruffle with it.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and I hope it never retires!
I am still taking registrations for my upcoming classes so be sure to email me so I can save you a spot!

Oops!

So, up until yesterday, I was doing really good at posting everyday.  It totally slipped my mind and I actually wouldn't have been able to post at my normal time because the power was off at our house for a good portion of the day.  So, since I didn't post, I have something special for all of you who place an order in the month of September.  For every order of $25, you will get a ballot put into a draw to win a reusuable Stampin' Up! shopping bag, a Stampin' Up! ruler, and a Stampin' Up! pen.  All of these prizes are things I brought back from convention.  I have two prizes, so on October 1, I will make the draw.

I hope that you are enjoying your weekend despite the weather.  I am really hoping that it does not rain tonight so we can go see the fireworks.  Be back tomorrow with a sample from my upcoming Christmas card class.

Just Believe Mini

Here is another card made with the Just Believe stamp set.  It is a 3x3 card and it was so easy to make.  This was another project from convention.
I had a circle template that I used to sponge inside of with Pear Pizzaz, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight to create the background.  The flowers are stamped off using Early Espresso.  What a quick way to create a little note card.
My available dates for workshops in September are very quickly filling up.  If you are interested, please let me know asap so you get the date you want.

Gratitude

Well what a change in the weather.  It almost feels like fall and this card is appropriate.  This is a card featured in the Holiday Mini using the stamp set Gratitude.

The cardstock colours are Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla.  The ink is Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, More Mustard, and Old Olive.  This card also uses the Autumn Spice dsp.  This card is right from the Stampin' Up! website.  When you go to the store, you can browse projects and I found this colourful fall card to share with you.

It's Here!

Today is the beginning of the Holiday Mini.  I am so excited to be able to share it with you.  I think that this is the best mini there has been since I became a demonstrator 4 years ago.
The mini focuses on Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day.
