Cute Witch!

As I have said previously, I am not really a Halloween person but since receiving this stamp set for FREE at convention because I was a make 'n take helper, I am really trying to come up with lots of ways to use it!  I am talking about the set called Fang-tastic.  The images are so cute and would be great for kids to make treats for friends and classmates.
This card uses Basic Black, Rich Razzelberry, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I stamped the witch, broom, and bag using Stazon ink so that I could then colour in the images using the Stampin' Write markers.  I cut them out using Stampin' Up!'s fabulous paper snips and voila!  I used the spider web embossing folder.  The stamp set and embossing folder will be available September 1 from the Holiday Mini.  If you currently do not have a demonstrator and did not receive the Holiday Mini, I would be happy to send you one.  Send me an email to let me know your mailing address.
Please be sure to check out my calendar of events and sign up for any classes you are interested in.  Space is limited!

Aviary

This stamp set was not one that I thought I would purchase until my friend Heather has some cards for us to make at convention.  It is really cute and I have seen a lot of samples made with it so needless to say, I now have this stamp set and am even offering a class in October using it.  The stamp set I am talking about is Aviary!
The cardstock colours are Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Pacific Point which coordinate really nicely together.  If you are interested in attending the class, please be sure to check out my calendar of events.
I hope that you had a fantastic weekend!

Northern Flurries

The card I will show you today uses lots of new stuff but especially nice is the Northern Flurries embossing folder in the Holiday Mini.
The cardstock colours are Basic Gray and Bravo Burgundy - an unusual combination for Christmas but I think it works.  I embossed the Basic Gray cardstock with the Northern Flurries embossing folder using the Big Shot (which you should get if you don't have!!) and then added some of the Basic Pearls to the snowflake centres.  I used the new set Tags til Christmas to stamp the ornament and then punched it out using the ornament punch.  The ribbon is the new Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon which is super nice to work with.
The Clearance Rack is filled with some awesome new deals today.  There is cardstock, brads, ribbon, designer series paper, and lots more.  Be sure to check it out by clicking here.
Enjoy your weekend and the beautiful weather!

Did You Know?

Did you know that the Order Online tab at the top of my website is not just for shopping?  It actually has four purposes!
1.  You can place your Stampin' Up! order from the comfort of your home on your computer, 24/7, even in your pj's...and who is going to know?
2.  The SHOP NOW tab also lets you browse all of Stampin' Up!'s current catalogues to see every page full of stamps, paper, embellishments, colour combinations and sample projects.  When would this be handy you ask?  Well let's say you're at work and you want to plan your next project but don't have your catalogue.  You can browse to your heart's content...until the boss walks by!
4.  You can view the Clearance Rack which has items up to 60% off!!!  Click here to view.
3.  The best part of the SHOP NOW tab is that there is a separate section full of projects and their recipes.  Just follow this link to view these amazing projects.

Oh, and one more thing.  If you do decide to place an order online, be sure that you see my name at the top of the page because that will ensure you receive the special preferred pricing that only I as a demonstrator can give you.

Buttons, Buttons, Everywhere!

Last week in my order I got some of the new buttons and they are soooo beautiful!!!!  The colours are so rich and vibrant I just want to use them on everything.  I usually like to hoard my buttons but I am going to try really hard to let you use them when you come to my classes or are in my club because then you will love them too :o)  While I was searching on Stampin' Connection which is a site just for demo's with 1000's of pictures and a super great source for inspiration, I found a card very similar to the one I am going to show you.
This card is a 4" x 4" card and I used the Brights Buttons on it.  Don't you just love it?!?!?!  The little images in the middle are from the Itty Bitty Bits set.  The cardstock is Crumb Cake (love it and use it lots!), Old Olive, and Whisper White.  The greeting is from the Just Believe set and is punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  Cool how I bordered the Whisper White greeting with Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  You might be asking how I did that because we don't have two sizes of the Modern Label Punch.  Well you just have to punch out the second colour and cut it in half and then glue it on the back of your first colour.  Easy peasy!

If you would like to get your hands on these great new buttons, why not join my Button Share?  You will receive 72 buttons - 3 of each colour in three different sizes from all the colour collections.  All of these buttons will cost you only $13.75.  Email me today to sign up.

Just Believe

Here is one of the cards we made at convention as part of our make 'n take session.  It uses the new set Just Believe.  This is one of my favourite sets so you may see a class with it coming soon!  We coloured directly on the stamp with the Stampin' Write markers, spritzed it with water, and stamped it on watercolour paper.  It has a very nice effect.  We also used the colour spritzer on the entire card after.  That is a cool tool that I don't have yet but will be getting very soon!  I got a lot of things from the Holiday Mini so I may need to wait a bit to get the colour spritzer!

I also just finished a super cute 3-d project that we will be making at my stamp club in September.  I am so excited to show it to you but my club girls will make it first before I show you.  Sorry!!!  If you want to be able to see and make this project, then why not join a stamp club?

Enjoy your weekend.

Is anybody reading this???

Ok, so I have posted everyday for two weeks and I really don't know if anyone is reading these!  I would really love it if you could leave me a comment to let me know you like what you see!!!
This was a very quick and easy card and has a couple of sneak peaks from the new Holiday Mini which will be out on September 1.  You could book a workshop and earn some fabulous new products for free while having fun and learning new things.  Email me today to set your date.
This card uses the new spider web embossing folder for the Big Shot.  It is so cool!  I punched out the spider using the scallop circle punch and the photo corner punches.  I stamped the greeting from the new set called Fant-tastic and punched it out with the modern label punch.

A note for those who receive my updates in their email:  If you want to leave a comment, you need to go to my blog to do so.  You can also then click on any pictures to make them larger to see.

Sweet Scoops

I was looking through my stamps and realized that this one will be gone after August 31.  It is the Sweet Scoops stamp and it is in the Summer Mini.  If there is something in the holiday mini that you want, you better order it now!
The cardstock I used in this card is Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, and Pink Pirouette.  It is hard to see in the photo, but I ran the Rose Red piece through the big shot with one of the texturz plates.  The ice cream part is cut out and popped up with dimensionals.  There are silver brads holding the small Pink Pirouette pieces on.  Hope you like it and if you do, please leave me a comment on my blog to let me know!

Stampin' Up! Home Office

I thought that I would share some more pictures with you of Stampin' Up!'s office in Utah.  These pictures come from their design and inspriation rooms.
This is an awesome wreath that was made out of our dsp for Christmas.  It looked even better in real life!

This is a bedroom that had flowers on the wall that were cut out from the big shot.

This is the same bedroom that had a hanging mobile made out of ribbon and flowers.

Stampin' Up! still has the awesome hostess promotion happening through the end of August and I still have some available dates for workshops.  If you would like to host a party and you have $450 in sales, you will receive an extra $35 in product of your choice.  Email me today to take advantage of this great offer!
There also has been a delay with me getting my class schedule out.  I am still working on it and will have it done as soon as I can.

Welcome

As part of the gift for the wedding I attended this past weekend, I made this Welcome frame. It is similar to the name frames I did a month ago.

You can click on the picture to make it bigger.  I used the Greenhouse Gala dsp as the background and the letters are Early Espresso.
Girls Night Out is Wednesday night if you want to come.

Happy Grad

My cousin graduated from high school in June and I will be seeing her today so I used the Happy Grad stamp from the Summer Mini to create this card.

I used Daffodil Delight and ran it through the Big Shot using the square lattice embossing folder.  I added the striped black ribbon and used the photo corner punch to add the basic black pieces around the greeting.  This was a quick card to make.  If there is anything in the Summer Mini you want to get, you better do it soon!  This mini ends on August 31.  Have a great Sunday.

Hybrid Card

Does the title have you wondering?  Today I am off to a good friends wedding.  We met in University and I am so happy to share in her special day.  When I went to make a card for her, I realized that I didn't really have any wedding type stamps so I turned to My Digital Studio.  I haven't played around with this program that much but I do know that it does amazing things and I am going to try to learn more about it very soon.

I printed the 'Together Forever' from My Digital Studio onto Whisper White cs.  I then cut it to the size I wanted and put it through the Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  I added some of our super great rhinestones.  It is a simple but elegant card.

The inside I stamped with the greeting from Heard from the Heart and added a rhinestone to the'i'.
I should have my class schedule all posted by Monday.  Be sure to check back then.  Also a reminder that the Summer Mini is almost done.  If you would like to order anything out of it, be sure to do asap.  I am putting in an order on Monday.

6 x 6 page

A couple of weeks ago at my teem meeting, Alycia kindly brought a 6x6 make and take for us to do.  As many of you know, I am not much of a scrapbooker but this page was very quick and simple and looks great.

This page uses the Presto Patterns dsp.  This paper is sooo cool!  It has some embossed images on it so you can sponge whatever colour of ink you want overtop of it to make the images show up.  The colours of cardstock are Marina Mist, Perfect Plu, and Chocolate Chip.  We used the tag punch to punch out the little pieces on the bottom right hand side.

A reminder that Girl's Night Out is on Wednesday.  Click on my calendar for all the details.  Have a great weekend.

Sneak Peak

This card uses a new stamp set that is in the Holiday Mini which begins September 1. There are so many fabulous new items in the Holiday Mini that you are going to love it! There is fabric, yes fabric, new glitter, dsp, and stamp sets. I can't wait to share with you some fun samples over the next few weeks.
The cardstock is Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White.  The stamp set is called Paisley Prints.  It was one of the sets I received at convention and to be honest, I wasn't really too fond of it but I have seen lots of neat samples using it.  I added some silver brads and a little clip to finish it off.

MIA

Sorry that I have been missing in action this past week.  We enjoyed a nice week near Peterborough at a cottage with my whole family.  It was nice to get away and relax.  I had planned on doing posts while I was there but obviously that didn't happen.  I hope that you will forgive me!
Today I have a few pictures to show you of the sample boards at convention.  Hope you like them.
